Camo is the perfect print to add to your wardrobe. For me it is my next favorite print...after leopard of course.  What I love about camoflage print is there are so many different ways to wear it.  You can have it as a main staple or a simple pop to your outfit. It can be a fun date night print or completely casual.
What's awesome about camo is the versatility,  you can get a brown based camo that you can pair with Earth tones and brown accessories. I personally love when it is paired with black, it adds a bit of glam that allows me to wear black pants and purse.
Here are a few ways to add camo to your wardrobe:
Jacket: I have paired this outfit with a camo jacket.  It is perfect for fall, and will give me many different options for use.  I have paired this looked with black pants, but you can also try olive to bring more of the camo look to life!  What I love most about this jacket is that it's reversible.  The opposite side it solid olive, which gives me even more ways to wear this jacket.  Layering is key in Dallas so this light jacket was perfect for the cool Texas Fall nights.
Pants:  If you want to make the camo look a pillar piece of your outfit try camo pants! depending on the color camo print. You can pair it with a black, nude, or even olive top.
Camo heels: Now let me just say this...Not all camo heels are a favorite of mine.  Some look very cheap, and I would never wear.  I found a couple pairs that were subtle enough that still were stylish for my taste. Just keep the rest of your outfit using solid colors, such as all olive or black.
Tops: The options are endless with this!  I love a button up camo top and pairing it with a dark blue look.  If you go with a twill camo top, just be careful on sizing as it often doesn't stretch a lot. Also sometimes twill are wrinkle prone!

Have fun with this trend! Next on my to do list is an all olive top and pant with camo heels! Just don't do camo overkill, I recommend choosing 1 camo piece in each outfit. If you haven't purchased any camo you are missing out!

What better way to embrace the season changing than with a group of ladies that equally love Fall style! It's always awesome to get a group a ladies together that support and motivate each other!  We definitely had an Empowerment Exchange!

It's so refreshing to be surrounded by ladies that are just as motivated as myself, and keep pushing to get to the next level.  It happens so often that some women feel that you can't support women due to being threatened and that it will take away your shine.  I've always had the mentality that if I am in a great outfit, I am going to share the details.  Or if I find a resource that gives you a level up I want to share. If you ever feel threatened just know that when you have women with drive and goals around you it will only help you grow to the next level!

Always challenge yourself to be better, even if that means people around you are helping you accomplish that!

I was able to use this Empowerment Exchange as a challenge that I face often.  Events come up (weddings, birthday parties, work functions, etc) and Rick is always saying "don't break the budget". Ugh! I swear Rick is always trying to kill my fashion vibe! HAHA!   Fall/Winter is full of different occasions and you don't want to go broke trying to be stylish at every event!

Fall is almost here and you definitely can pull off an awesome street style look without paying a ton of money.  This look can be duplicated for less than $100! I bought this bag from TARGET on sale for $29.99!! It's plenty spacious and allows you to have your mom life in a bag plus your personal items! My shoes I snagged from Zara last year, but found some that are half the price that look almost identical! Sidenote: If you haven't grabbed a Burgundy item for this upcoming Fall season then you will be missing out! I love it and perfect for Fall and Winter season.
For me pulling off an affordable look is easiest when I eliminate the amount of pieces required to complete an outfit. Keep your accessories to a minimum, wear a dress/romper to reduce the amount of clothing pieces needed.  It was an added bonus that my dress had a built in bow that eliminated my need to purchase a necklace.  When you are considering a budget friendly outfit, try to minimize the amount of pieces that goes into an outfit. It will drastically decrease the expense when getting an outfit.

Make sure you check out and support these awesome ladies blog!

Let's talk shoes and accessories! Truthfully, I focus more on those aspects of my outfit over my actually outfit! As I am preparing for Fall and Winter I am slowing starting to get versatile pieces that will get me through both seasons.  I try to gradually shop.  So I am never in a situation where all of a sudden we get a cold front and then I am scrambling to get season appropriate items.  That's when I will typically impulse by and end up spending way more than what I need to.

My newest addition to my closet....Wedge booties! Are you ever like me and want to look cute, but really not in the mood to not be comfortable? Well, that is the story of my life! I ventured outside of the box a bit, because normally wedges are not a personal favorite.  I feel sometimes people will throw a wedge shoe with anything, and in my head I am thinking a wedge is not your solution to every occasion! Ugh! I do however love a good wedge with a cute summer dress!

I have been scratching my head for a Fall alternative that was in between casual and semi-dressy.  Perfect example of a perfect! My church is completely come as you are, but there are days that I want to jazz it up a bit. My church is not the smallest, so wearing my best heels are not always practical. I may have to walk a bit from the parking lot, drop of the boys on one side to Kidcare, head to the sanctuary, and then do it all again after church is over.  And sometimes my feet will be feeling it by the end!

If you ever feel like me then wedge booties  definitely need to be your solution this Fall.  They are so comfortable, but still look very cute! For me, I feel that I like the wedge bootie more than a regular wedge!  It has more style and looks a lot more chic!  I still love my heels, so I knew I didn't want to break the bank with my wedges.  I got my wedges for only $39 and they come in other cute colors!!! I have said this many times, but if you have an item that you don't see yourself wearing all the time.  Consider going with a budget friend option!

Side note: I got all of my jewelry for less than 40%! So I had to share the savings, because you know I love a sale!

I am from Michigan and in an instant Fall and Winter weather can hit you, so make sure you start preparing for the season temperature changes!

When Fall comes around there is one clothing item that comes to mind. A perfectly fit Plaid shirt. It is a casual staple during this weather transition all the way through winter.  It's no secret that I love Fall, and Plaids are definitely a major perk to the season.

A few reasons why Plaids are a must have this season:

1. Matches almost everything: You can pair a Plaid shirt with distressed denim or leggings with riding boots. If you have a pair of Hunter boots, these also look great with Plaids.

2. Perfect for casual errand day:  Do you ever have days where you want to put in some effort, but still want to be comfortable? Plaid shirts do this for me. I normally, pair with dark jeans and flats. I pretty much live in flats through on a daily basis, so I love anything that I can pair with my flats.

3. Great transition item: While it is still somewhat warm I will opt to get a plaid shirt that is lighter in material.  This is the same concept for winter time also.  When it is not quite time to pull out sweaters, and you can opt to wear a heavier flannel as you transition to winter.

The only thing that can be an issue with plaid shirts is the fit.  Some companies make it to boxy and don't do anything for your shape.  A few companies that I typically grab plaids from are Nordstrom, Target, and sometimes Old Navy. Here are some of my favorite plaids this season!

I do have a pet peeve with some stores and maybe it is just me.  Sometimes the fabric of the plaid shirt will be so thin that it so wrinkle prone. And takes like 15 minutes to iron. Ugh! I typically stay away from those as well. I say all that to say make sure the quality of the fabric is good, and pick a shape that is flattering for your body.

P.S. Style it with some feminine accessories to glam it up a bit.

Dress: NY and Company   Shoes: Zara (sold out)  here and here | Earrings: Bauble Bar Bracelet Bauble Bar | Ring: Bauble Bar Watch: Michael Kors | Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff

Truthfully, lace hasn't already been my favorite.  Lace in my opinion has be done right, for me to be in lace it really has to be the right amount.  I always battle with does it look like an old school table  cloth or is this a lace like lingerie lol.  With lace it's always been hard finding that balance.
I love a dress where the lace isn't overpowering, and when I saw this dress I knew it was perfect.  Subtle lace, black, and midi length had me sold! Not to mention this dress was less than $50 dollars, WINNING! I love saving money.  Although, I swear every day I will share with my husband how I got a deal on an item.  He of course like clockwork will say, "it would be even more of a deal if it stayed at the store." Grr...I swear men just don't get how accomplished you feel when you snag an item on sale!  I digress.....back to this dress..Midi dresses for me are my new favorite length! It adds some class, but still fitted enough so you can work it a bit. :)

This dress will be a staple in my closet this fall and winter.  I will be able to wear it to multiple semi-formal events this upcoming season. I paired it with my all time favorite color accessories black, with a pop of red.  It is such a classic color combo! Not to mention this is a nice little spin on a LBD.  This lace dress is Taryn approved, if you are like me and aren't always into tons of frills. Then you will be pleased with with dress!

Fall is almost here and I cannot wait! It is my favorite season of the year for so many reasons.  I love the weather during this time.  You are no longer sweating but not yet dealing with a harsh winter.  Being from Michigan really makes you appreciate all 4 seasons, so it was an adjustment moving to Texas and having such long summers. In Michigan it is such a beautiful time with weather and the trees turning color (minus picking up leaves, I despise that)

Football is definitely another reason for my love a Fall.  We are counting down until kickoff! GO LIONS! I think this love started being a cheerleader and playing for a great football team and it just always stuck with me.  My husband and Cameron love it, so it is our family enjoyment on the weekends.  Even though almost weekly I get mad at Cameron because he makes fun of the Lions. :(

My birthday is in the Fall, and I will be turning 3-0! I always liked it because I was able to have back to back holidays.  We would have Halloween, my Birthday, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas!!!! And to add to those festivities Cameron's birthday is a week before mine!

Most importantly, the FALL FASHION! What is there not to love? You have boots, warm earth colors, jackets, turtlenecks.  So many things to love!

Here are a few of my favorite styles I am looking forward to indulging in.
Fall colors:  My second favorite color is green, and more importantly olive.  I love this hue.  Plan on added some of this color in your wardrobe. It works perfectly with any brown or cream.  Another great one is burgundy.  I plan on getting a burgundy bag and booties.  It is such a rich color, and screams Fall.  I even love a nice burgundy lip color to add a nice flair to my look.  Of course you can never go wrong with Black, this is a staple color in the cooler months.
Boots/Booties: I love any form of boot! I try to get my staple colors in each the boot and bootie. You can wear booties casual and dressy, and it is versatile to wear it before it gets a lot cooler.

Sweaters: Give me a long sweater, leggings, boots, and I am a happy woman! This is the ultimate comfortable Fall outfit, that I wear on repeat. I also love a good turtleneck!

Nail polish: Sounds ridiculous, but when Fall hits I bring back my ultimate favorite nail polish color. Midnight in Moscow by OPI.  I am pretty lame in the Fall, I pretty much only wear that color with an occasional deep red.

Hoodies: Let's be honest, this is my every day comfy go-to.  I love a good hoodie to bum around in, but that is still cute enough to run some errands.  Or go watch Cam play football.

Flannels: If you don't wear a good flannel top you are missing out! I love a Red/Black lumberjack flannel and black accessories.
Again, there is so much stuff to love about Fall.  That was just my top favorite Fall style I look forward to every season. Start stocking up now!
